Saddest Day

Well, today was our nanny, Denise's,last day. I have been so upset this past month and absolutely dreading today and having to say goodbye. I can't even being to explain to everyone how hard it was to see her drive away. She knows Paige better than anyone else outside of T.Jay and I and has cared for her like she is one of her own. Never did we worry when Paige was with her and she always went out of her way to help out our family to spend more time with Paige. This was never a "job" for her. It was amazing how many days we would come home and Paige had learned a new sign, a new word or a new song. Denise didn't just "watch" Paige, she cared for her, taught her, explored with her, and most importantly, loved her. She will TRULY be missed by all of us and we only wish Paige understood how much she was loved. Someday when she is old enough, we'll tell her all about Denise and all the wonderful times they had together.
So, back to the drawing board.........
We miss you so much already!
Love, T.Jay, Tennyson and most importantly, Paige

We are truly sorry for Paige and the both of you. Treasured people are hard to find especially when they give so freely of themselves. However, having said that when one door closes another always opens. Sometimes it is hard to find or see but it is there. May your search be quick and successful in finding a new 'friend' for Paige. May your memories of Denise and her awesome time with your family never fade. You are all in our thoughts and prayers!
Love - Grandad and Mima

What a blessing that you had such a wonderful nanny for Paige. I will be praying you find someone wonderful to care for Paige (and her baby sister, too).

It is so hard when you find a great one and have to see them go their separate way. You just have to think about how lucky you were to have her in the first place, right? You are blessed to have someone that loves your child that much. It is hard to come by. We have also been very blessed. :)

Dang...I have the biggest lump in my throat. Denise was so awesome and will be missed so much. What a gift she was. Thanks, Denise, for loving Paige and giving of yourself for as long as you could.
